The Department of History at Bilkent University invites applications for a faculty appointment, open rank, in Late Ottoman History (1700-1922). Candidates will be expected to be able teach general courses in Ottoman history, as well as more specialized courses concerned with the Ottoman Empire after 1700. Preference will also be given to those who can demonstrate excellence in research, publications and teaching. Academic rank, salary and teaching-load will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Candidates must have a doctoral degree awarded, or expected to be awarded, by Fall 2019.
