Bilkent University Department of Music in the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts invites applications for an open rank faculty position in Voice effective September 2020. The position will be filled, depending upon qualifications, at a rank commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be expected to primarily teach applied Voice lessons to majors and minors in the college and pre-college divisions.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Teach a studio of university level voice students.
  2. Supervise student recitals.
  3. Service on jury exams and committees as assigned.
  4. Recruit and retain talented voice students.
  5. Administrative duties including updating voice curriculum.

Education Requirement: Required qualifications include a doctorate in music (ABD is acceptable).

Required Qualifications: Evidence of professional-level vocal performance, and successful voice teaching at the collegiate level.
